The way he was taking corners and overtaking i'd say he was trying. It was a sunny day so i doubt he had traction problems.

So it want' really a race? More of you trying to keep up with him, and you at 100% and him at 40,50,60% or whatever?
That doesn't sound like a race really, maybe you over cooked the title, that's all.

'you have already proven that you really do know nothing.'
Can you back up this statement please?
The pulsar is standard.

Try going back to the start, reading the posts you have made, there is my proof.
Right, any volunteers. We need a standard pulsar and a modified 1.4 corsa.

The most constructive thing that has been said. I would say he was trying by the way he took corners, swinging to the wrong side of the road before turning in. I would only do this at night, and he was doing this on a sunday afternoon. But as i originally said, he never went above 100mph on the straights, but accelerated up to it.

but HOW do you know he never went above a hundred , a pulsar gets there in no time you could be at 40 50 by the time a pulsar is a t a hundred , you get to 70 - 80 hes at 130+

One of the best races i've ever had'
Maybe if i explain the title better some people might understand. I mean this in the way i drove my car, i knew it was hopeless on the straights, but anyone can put the foot down and go. Cornering is where the skill is. And seeing as i was outbreaking and outcornering him, whilst being on the limit, i'd say i was fairly pleased with that.
Thats all im going to say, so carry on slating me if thats all you have to do in your life.

your car doesnt weight as much as his so you probally can out brake him , but he is going into corners faster than you.

If you turn in hard you lift the inside wheel and it's pretty easy to spin it, but in 3rd, even with a 4.18 final in my box I have ot be doing well in the 80mph and I have 50BHP over a std 1.4 aswell, oh and the car weighs a few 100kgs less.

What road is it?

more power means you can actually gain traction, if you floor a powerful 4wd car into a corner the power will actually pull you through and out the corner, if the back end starts to go, the power will pull you straight.
going on his theory i reckon we should email rallyart and get them to stick a 1400 lump in for there next rally and tell them that slow cars are better round the corners

yup.... Only really happens once you have gone past the point of grip into understeer.... (basically what neds do at round-a-bouts in the wet, light up the front by understeering to loose grip)
but 3rd.... as you have said..... Is a bit hard to do in a 'std' (is it?) x14xe.
I used to have a 115bhp x14xe on avo's etc etc.... it didnt do this
