Anyone heard of Camel Spiders?
Nasty fuckers found in deserts like Iraq. Big too. Apparantly, they chase your shadow, and can reach speeds up to around 10-15mph.
Theres pics somewhere. They look kinda like those facehugger things off aliens. fucking awful

On camel spiders:
They also tend to seek out shade during the daytime, so it's not terribly unusual to see them charging across the desert at you -- only to come to a screeching halt when they reach your shadow.

Well, with the thoughts of giant camel spiders pegging it after my shadow fresh in my mind, I'm off to bed.
Wish me luck. Night all.
