we dont want our marraige to look like a sham. i only plan on getting married once - and i dont want it to look like it was ofr the wrong reasons.
and at this point - getting married could work to our disadvantage.

Yes but if your already engaged then you must think hes the one? Im thinking if you dont get married - get made to leave the country then you never will....plus he wont get a visa for the states!

well... thats it. im going back to san diego on the 16th - in less than two weeks - and i wont be coming back. my brother is sorting out a place for me to stay - so at least ill have a roof over my head.
i am definitely getting married on the 21st
soon as Craig (my fiance) gets back to the UK - he is going to sort out papers and apply for what he has to - and ill do my share of the paperwork on the other side of the pond. when its sorted he'll come live with me in SD (i should have my own place by then) - and we can start building our life together.
all in all - its gonna be tough being away from the love of my life for god knows how long - but at the end of it we're going to be together for the rest of our lives.
so its all pretty bittersweet.
