However, i have driven 3 205s, 4 306s and 1 106 and all have had the same problem with the gearbox. They have sticky gearboxes which an oil change and gear box clean sorts for around 1,000 miles but then they go shit again. The reverse won't go in and 3rd seems to crunch. But, drop them into 2nd, then 4th and finally 3rd and they are fine. 3rd only haps a small amount of times but reverse is shite.
You are a spaz.
There is nothing wrong with my 306's gearbox, it's not sticky or anything.
So yes, they must all have the same problem.
And Pug aren't shite, people automatically slate French cars but why? All the cars here are French, not a single problem with any of them. I'm not saying they're perfect, but no car is.

Hired one of these in ibiza for a week. Cant deny that they are lookers, peoples heads were turning everywhere, especially pulling up at places like cafe mambo in the evenings etc.
To drive though was another story, The 2.0 engine is very harsh and unrefined, fairly torquey low down but its not an engine for a roadster/sports car.
handling was average, expected better though.
Gearbox was fcuking awful, notchy, sloppy, just generally rank, like wiggling your nob around in a fat girls fanneh.
Defo a girls car, hence the intensive advertising in girly mags.
If i wanted a car like this would have to be MR2 roadster, virturally no difference in prices. The MR2 has the handling, performance as well as the looks.

fax2004, my box is like that too. You have gotta just live with it. It's a good box on the motorway when your raging it but no good around town. The worst part on mine is the clutch. It only has a little bit of bite and then bang, engine cuts out.
