No Mr Law could enter it and be there if that was his entry point.

Depends on the size of the junction, speed of both cars, whether either party had had already entered the roundabout when the other did etc., but there are scenarios in which it would be fine.

Hi,

I arrived back from holiday yesterday. I have been in contact with my insurance as well as yours.

There seems to be some confusion as to the events. You admitted fault at the scene, yet the story your insurance have from you does not make sense.

I have included several diagrams, and OS route maps for the road showing the round-a-bout for you to view. I have made these available to Esure.

Esure told me they will be in contact with you to verify this, as my details of the events are also corroborated by my passenger.

Let me know if these diagrams seem correct to you.

Here are my insurance details:

Broker : Adrian Flux
Insurer : Equity Redstar
Ref: ************

Thanks,

Adam Kindness

Quoting GEORGE LAW <***********>:

Hello Adam,
I have made a report to esure and they have given me a reference number which is 445*** and my policy number is 112*****. You can contact them on 0845 603 0390 and quote their ref. number. Could you please let me have details of your insurer. Thanks. Have a Nice Xmas.
George Law

i havent bothered reading this, iv just looked at the diagrams and if they are correct then yes the man is to blame he was in the left lane going around the roundabout which if there is a right hand lane to do so is against the laws of the road

That's shit mate

However, yes you took to roundabout in the correct manner but didn't you hit him. I dunno whos fault it is then.

I was told by my driving instuctor to use only the left lane for 1st left which is what i done on my test and passed. I've just done that ever since.

I don't really like them but they are there so we have to live with it. There are just too many cocks out there who will use the wrong lanes and not give way even though you signal in plenty of time.

ur instructor wasnt very good then was he

so u use right lane, for straight over when there is only 1 exit from the straight over junction, and if there are no road markings saying which lane to use?

You can go straight over a roundabout in two different ways, depends if the roundabout is offset or not if it is u usually take the inside lane, if not (i.e. normal) then you take the outside lane, that's what I was taught

AK - good onyou for not claiming whipcash

dunno if its right or not but the rule i use on a 2 lane roundabout is the left lane first or the second exit... anything else then i'd use the right lane when entering...

Yep unless marked other wise ^ I'd agree (generally I find the second exit is straight on), It would seem to make more sense and if everyone kept the same I'm sure there would be a lot less accidents. We could go on all day about the differences in official road law and what people actual practice 'like flashing lights etc...'

im fucking raging

I'm sure he his making a new story up.... phoned his insurance comp again, and asked for his version again...

He says he was coming from Perth (correct) and taking the 2nd exit of the roundabout (incorrect)

If he was taking the 2nd exit there would have been no fucking crash in the first place.

I feel like calling him direct to ask what the hell he is playing at
