Still not bad returns tho
I got a buy 2 for price of 1 type deal when I worked with BP!
I'm not disputing the returns, I'm just saying they're not worth £600 each
We buy our shares pre-income tax... and we are given a free share for each we buy -- similar kinda story... They're 63 Euro each though
Tim I think they understand that well hopefully
I make assumptions here -- I apologise....

Yeah deffo not worth that much
I got mine at set price 2 for 1 investment of £3k done it 2 years running I worked for them, then sept 11th happened and price dropped from around 750p to 400pish and has never recovered!! Still made good money when the last of them were released last august, id have kept them for longer - watch them hopefully continue to creep up but you never know what going to happen with them!! I sold mine to help buy a house I got a damn good deal on so a better investment in my eyes!!

I love to spend money, and because of this I owe a lot of money (and I'm not talking about a poxy £10k or £500 like).
Still, all will be paid off by 5 years (or quicker if I get a better paying job), plus will have a few grand saved up so I can fuck off back to Australia!

Hi chap, Try adding up everything and work out how much interest the bank are charging you on your credit card etc . You may find that it is cheaper to get a loan that covers everything. I found that when I did it because the more you borrow in a lump sum (as a general rule) the interest rate drops it can be cheaper. It is also less worry because you only have to remember to have money in your account to pay one big payment. It's also quite cool because you do start to see the money you owe come off faster as you are paying more at once.
Just an idea

I wouldn't sell the car to recoup £4k when the problem is less than that.
My advice would be sell crap on eBay starting at 99p and not ending on a Sunday and move the credit card balance to a 0% card so you're not incurring interest in it. Then set up a direct debit to pay off a set amount per month and stop using it.
The only problem with debt is interest charges, so do some maths on that.
Consolidating loans are OK and have the big advantage that you can't put money back on them like you can with a CC card but of course there is interest to pay. £2k loan will cost you about £2.4k

Forgot to say if in doubt there's a forum called Debt-Free Wannabe on moneysavingexpert.com, specifically set up so you can start a thread explaining your situation and people will answer how best they see you getting out of it.
Great site. There's people bathing in Fairy liquid so they can buy it in bulk there, so a bit of a credit card balance isn't the end of the world.
