I am very sceptical of rolling road figures, and do not believe 160bhp is achievable with your spec, nothing against you or your car, but I dont think 160bhp is possible with this spec on any engine, but thats me. We're talking compensated flywheel figures, which are never going to be that accurate anyway.
Why are you sceptical of rr figures
I had my car RR tested in 3 different RR's (2 MAHA with different spec and a Bosch) all 3 gave similar results for my car.
Which has btw around 160hp (X16XE with Dbilas TB's, 262 Dbilas cams, Dbilas Flowmaster (airinduction system) with K&N panel, Dbilas RR chip, FSE pbv, Supersprint manifold and Laser 2,5" exhaust, decat) with the revlimiter on 7950rpm.
And have seen other 1.6 16v Corsa reach these values......
And Schaap Axel doesnot have a Sebring, it is a 2,5" Mantzel system (decat).
BTW Schaap why didnot you thank the photographer of the Mantzel pics

I believe your 160bhp figure at nearly 8,000rpm! Getting that power at 6800rpm I dont believe.
Why dont you go the throttle body/independant mangement route? Or does everything need to be tuv approved?
Isn't 2.5" exhaust bore excessive?
Have either of you done any 1/4 mile runs?

Old pic of power (before pbv and chipping):
http://home.wanadoo.nl/opelcorsa/pics/meting/fgc-legenda.jpg
Another okd pic of power (after chipping before pbv):
And I used the original sensors and ecu because the car is used daily in Rotterdam Citycentre (lot of traffic lights) and I even go to the wintersport with it. And I donot want to load a new program every day.
The bore of the exhaust isnot to large.

£90 I think. Shame I let Pete Knivet (I think) and his old company charge me £150 for a few gaskets and pipes.

Interesting thread this. I had a very similar specced X16XE before I moved to throttle bodies and engine management. I had a RR figure of 154bhp at 7100rpm running Schrick 264 cams. However, the amount and spread of torque was not quite as I'd hoped - it didn't feel quite as I imagined it might. That al changed when I switched to TBs and engine management. Power jumped to 180bhp, but more importantly, the torque spread was almost linear from 2500-6000rpm.
As for exhausts, I think you would have a quicker more driveable car and better mid torque if you reduced the bore to 2.25 or even 2.0 inches. Swindon racing only ever used to use a 1.75inch bore on their 210bhp Group A rally engines!

yes mantzel also told me that a larger exhaust system would degrade the bhp
has something to do with the lost of pressure on the exhaust
when i put back the catalystic converter the car drives better down-rev but on higher revs i feel a little lose in power
and im thinking about putting on jenveys have to figure out the costs..
