That's why the sat nav speed is messed up then, it's buggered up the speed = distancextime equation

F13 - 6620rpm = 117mph.
Had 124 showing on D4, worked it out to be 114/115mph. I had roughly 200rpm left to the limiter, which works out right.
X16XE runs to the 6620rpm limiter at 127mph. Tigra does 125mph (book) corsa does 119mph. C16 does 121, but has slightly more power.
I've said these lines so many times
Im not sure why people are so dependent on Sat Nav/GPS systems, they arn't as accurate as you think...
134mph from an X14, removed limiter and a hidden "turbo jet" from ebay... (plus resistor).

thats what i fault, my speedo seems to be accuarte, have 120 (downhill) and that was near 6.5k which is right i think.
can't belive this vts is even geared to do 150, what revs is yours going topspeed?

I don't think my 2.0 corsa will do much more than 130 mph so fuck knows whats going on with these mega 1.4's everyone has. I think I better get a 1.4 engine in mine and fit a pannel filter.
Oh, and which bring this fucking post back up

what is it with speedo's misreading so much then? I remember my lecturer telling us he'd done 160 mph in his calibra 2.0 16v (how he knew that i don't know, the clocks don't go that high)

Who gives a fuck, the only thing excessive speeding on public roads is going to get you is a driving ban and a hefty fine.
By all means if you have a fast car take it somewhere private like an airfield but "my 1.4 corsa can do 130 bollox" Woopy fucking doo for you.

They have a percentage inaccuracy with them. Just like any measuring instrument. However, on speedos this is usually intentional not inevitable. They are set to underread x%. So for example:
10% error on a speedo at 50mph would under or over read 5mph.
10% error at 130 mph would equal a 13mph inacuracy... And so on.
