hows about randomly removing the engine from a 2litre 16v astra gte and fitting a 1200 pushrod from the mk2 astra's, do the opposite of what other people are doing. then retro fit drums onto the rear, 1litre discs and calipers on the front and some 13inch steelies, with 1 hub cap different to the rest.

106 GTI-6
The weight would fuk up the handling of the gti
They're are Turbo conversions out there for the 1.6 for £3k (pug performance) which will give you 200bhp which will be fast as fook in a car that weights 850kg or less

sorry if this has been covered, already as i've not read the whole topic, but a KA RS Turbo is great fun, and pretty simple to do.
In fact i think i've got 2 spare KA turbo mounts knocking about.
If you need any mounts, guides or advice drop me a PM and i'll help as i can, or pass on your quetions to my mate who's built a few KA turbo's.
in fact here's a quick pic or 2 to show what can be done
This was his 170BHP euro Ka :

Mugen Civic above - nice engine.
BTW, click on the vid icon at the bottom of the Civic pics and it should pull up Streetfire.net - Watch the Whackpack.com bike stunt clip on the right hand side of the page
...and watch the Jap drifting clip aswell, and look out for the idiot in the gold Convertible 200
Japs are just wrong in the head.
