If you speak to him personally, try to be professional about it, if he picks up on the fact you think its funny getting the car so cheap hel soon turn it around and youll have no chance. He has sold it to you, therefore it should be yours.

Not much really Fad
Its only a few days since I won, I've sent him 2 messages on Ebay & had no response. He's gonna get another one on the 7th day & I'll contact Ebay. Probably call him that day too.
I have his address so if the worst comes to the worst I'll just have to go up there & see him in person.....

Right.
I've decided im gonna take a risk & pay the guy.
Question is do I send a cheque or cash? If I send it by recorded delivery then I know he has recieved it. Friend at work says send cash as then they have actually got the money for it there & then hence they have recieved payment.
Which should I do?
Im thinking cheque
Your thoughts please

meet and greet does sound fun but.... on the slightly more gentle way of doing things, cheque is best as you can probably cancel it even after he's cashed it? alternatively, send cheque but don't sign it!

the recorded delivery idea wont work as he doesn't necesarily have to cash the cheque.
if you send cash then the money is in his hand but you'd normally expect to pay on collection and not post it through in advance

the thing is, he could blag it and say he never recieved cash/cheque just to delay the deal even more - even if he dont cash the cheque.

Gonna contact ebay to see where I stand. From what I gather if he has sold something on there then he has to sell it. There is no "opt out" now I've won the auction.

Just reported him to Ebay
I put.....
"Hi.
I won the item & the seller seems to be ignoring me. I am fully aware that I won the auction at a very low price but since the seller decided not to put a reserve on the item I have done nothing wrong. I have mailed him twice already & had no response. Where do I stand on this? Surely if I won the item & the auction is legally binding he must sell or face legal action?
Many thanks, Matt Hogan."
