all depends what you want, rr's are such a bad place really if all your wanting is what bhp your car is, tbh knowing what your cars bhp is pretty pointless as it will vary as much as 20bhp either way from one day to another simply on ambient air temperature, rr'ds are only really any good for mapping as your on the same rolling road and its not the bhp figure your interested in, its the change from the first reading to the after reading to see what is making a difference when mapping

you never do. but thers some that are more accurate than others obviously.

if it is correct then yours is the first ever c20xe that i have ever heard of making over 170 with the mods that you listed. although, that could happen. but when you also look at the fact a standard 1.4 16v corsa made a silly power figure on the same day on the same rollers then its obvious that these figures are incorrect.

think about it, whats more likely?

Thread split, keep is civil please, and keep it free of those bloody stupid forum pics, I've taken the time to clean the thread as there's actually some sensible conversation buried in here somewhere when you look past the mockery and piss taking.

Just so i can add my 3pence....

When i got it RR at 167.5bhp my mate in his clio got 182bhp which is that same as book for the car.... so it cant be out when i had it done....And for the record it was not a std XE it had full stainless, BMC induction and ecotec pipe thingy...

Also when i have raced on my private land the 182 only just pulled away..

As i bought the doner car 2nd had i cant be 100% sure that its not been modded via chip or head work before etc....

And it depends how the engine has worn during it life that could alter bhp etc.

when i was at noble motorsport recently i was talking to one of the guys that work there. apparently at the cliosport meet they had there none of the standard cars produced book figures, the 172's were running at 160 ish and the 182's at around 170 ish.

so going on the figures a clio puts out isnt the best way to tell if a rr is accurate

there are many factors which govern the results from a RR. just because a clio gets 182 does not mean the next car will be as accurate.

And your car should be able to easily stay with the 182 if it had 179 Bhp, maybe even beat it as the corsa's alot lighter.

im fairly sure reno say its 172ps or 182ps. not bhp. which means it would be about 165/175 ish bhp? dont know the exact connversion, but its less
