If Wenger rates Walcott so highly why has he not played him?

thats what I ask in the other thread before. Wenger goes on about him so much, why hasnt he played him yet?
And if the reason is that he isnt ready for the Premiership then why is he ready for England?

reason were taking only 4 strikers is cos our midfleild has possible the highest scoring midfield around.
people like lampard and gerrard score alot of goals as midfeilders go. joe cole could an should in my eytes play upfront for england if we need to.
but sven wont play Gerrard and Lampard in the best positions to get the goals out of them, Gerrard mainly as he'll make him be defensive now and Lampard attacking.

He'll play him in the CL final when hell freezes over!
With Henry, Reyes, V Persey and Bergkamp all above him in the pecking order he isn't getting a sniff of playing in that game! Too much of a risk for Mr. Wenger!

he has no need to play him? why throw a skinny 16 year old in at the deep end, you'll see him loads next season. then last 2 16/17 year olds i remember being picked for england, are that good now, their chosen when there unfit..

both of those two were proven at Premiership standard before they were picked for England though, let alone before they were taken into a world cup squad. Walcott has zero games and zero goals at the highest domestic level.

hardly skinny, walcotts a big and strong player, hence why there was so much intrest in him to be brought.

how dya know it wont. personally think england has one of the strongest all round teams in the comp. so many world class players.
whats gets me tho is the way we put such doubt on our team before the tournaments started, we should be putting confidence into the team.
same with mclaren becoming the manager, the amount of bad press in the papers is disgraceful, no wonder nobody wants the job. Factg is mclaren is scouting the youngest of england players at boro, has managed to get a average team like boro to a fa cup semi, european cup final this year. looking at it he has been one of the most successull managers this year.

As I said on a Inter Milan email newsgroups I'm a member of when discussing this:
I think Sven has made either some truly inspirational and historic choices or we could be coming home after the group stages - I have a feeling that it's more the latter than the former at this stage, whichever way it makes very little odds to Sven as he's not the manager after the World Cup so he won't have to deal with the fallout.

Pleased to see AJ got in there, but shocked Bent is not. Walcott inclusion was just shocking, i dont think anyone would have predicted that. In my opinion it should have been Owen, Rooney, Crouch, Bent then defoe and AJ as reserves. If Rooney drops out, Defoe will go in. Aj wont go in the squad as it looks like owen will be fully fit.
As for those slating AJ, you all seem to forget he scored 30+ in the championship, went to premiership and scored 21, back to championship and scored 17 this season despite being out for 4 months. Hardly shit form
