Seems I have a water problem, possible that the rad is leaking under high pressure so I shall be testing that theory out in the next 24 hours.

Other then that, I bought some stuff. At least I got something to do over the weekend (come on, knowing me this will take at least a month to be put on )

Rear whiteline ARB from them guys off here who i cant think the name of, and a cool running stat.

i fitted my new gearbox and diff, then drove the car slowly to check for stuff falling off, then round some bends and thought man this diff is shit cant feel its there at all, so i nailed it round a roundabout in anger at wasted time and money, and then i nearly crashed into the middle of the roundabout its so ace!

you getting the rad tested?

tested? What I'm planning to do is cut off my fan then let it get hot while idling... once it builds enough pressure I should start seeing the rad pissing itself.

good/bad idea?

dont see point of coll runnin stat its 45 quid wasted.

u may aswell just link fan into switch while still connected to thermostat and you can overide it when car warms up slightly that is only cost of switch and some wire and ur own time.

or if u wanna be fancy get a second washer jet moto and aim jets onto rad and that cools it too.

Dont see the point of the cool running stat at all. As long as your coolant system is in good condition and you have a good fan on there, why bother?

progress OMGZ!

New thermostat warez

Welded plates..

Peekaboo,,cleanish block and gearbox

New rad next to old...

When in doubt, use the cable tie.

FUCKING rear whiteline ARB, was a complete cunt to fit if I was completely honest.

I dunno..

Went for a 30 minute blast after everything was fitted, I think the rear whiteline ARB has changed the dynamics of the car. The car doesnt piss itself when doing fun speeds round slight bends, nor does it go faggity after I come off the power on the corner.

Time will tell I guess, but so far so good.

Oh, I bought the new rad from Vauxhall Spares Centre over in romford. Popped over there on Saturday morning and handed over £40 for a new rad. Then went on a mission to harlow to get thermostat o-rings and coolant.
