Didnt get toooo much done today cos i was at work all day (one of the shittest days ever and ssooo tired when i got back!), but managed to dig the hole down dseeper, its about the right height now but we're gonna bring the sides out a bit more then pretty much done. Started building the mound up too for the waterfall, and built the brick wall slightly in towards it too to give a better finish. Away for the day tomorrow but back home sun early afternoon, so hope to have the pond liner in and filled by then, gonna hire a concrete mixer tomorrow morn till mon (only £22 so not too bad ) to save a LOT of time making the concrete to fill into the cavity between the walls. Will update with more pics as soon as there is more to show

Is it on a foundation or just on the soil?? Can't see the froundation but I know you said you did one? Looks good. Is the water going to pour over and into the main pond of out into another little pond?

The walls are on foundations but the bottom of the pond wont be, just earth and then a layer of sand going on top before the underlay then the lining to top it all off. We're going to build one or two little splash pools as part of the waterfall, then have it going back into the pond from there.

Ahhhh another hard days work! Finished digging out the deeper part to as big as we want it...
Filled the entire cavity of the wall with concrete (in two stages to let the bottom half dry first)
Prepared the inside with sand ready for the underlay and liner...
Unrolled the liner, seems a lot bigger than I first thought but i got some extra so we can cut it off and use for the waterfall and splash pools.
Put the underlay in and put a bit of sand on top to weigh it down and keep it in place.
Then put the liner in on top, and started filling it with water. Sat down and had a well earned beer, so tempted at that point to just turn it into a big hot tub instead
Then ended up having a massive water fight so just got in anyway cos we were already soaking, was quite nice actually!
Thats it for today, left it filling with water for now and gonna have a night in chilling with top gear i think! Pump, filters and lights should be here early next week, gonna sort out the mound for the waterfall tomorrow then find some coping to finish of the top of the pond and its pretty much job done then! Cant wait to get the first lot of fish in there, might have a BBQ round mine to celebrate finishing the hard work.

Getting some coping on top of the wall to finish it off nicely, gonna just tuck the lining in under that
