the stig and hammond were both at MPH 05 at the NEC last year

I didn't see them together, and he was mysteriously absent a lot of the time...

my theory based on nothing solid is that the stig is an entity of all the good racing drivers of yesteryear formed into one amazing nameless driver, capable of ridiculously good driving

On sky news they had a fire fighter who was there, say that on his final attempt they saw a load of smoke and then the jet car pull sharply to the side and go into the grass, then rolling repeatedly!

Sounds to me like it had a blow out, (not suprising if they had spent all day going up and down) and if it was going sideways at 280 mph on rough ground, that would've easily caused it to roll!

Just hope he survives and if he does we see the footage.

bad news.

He was talking when removed form the car which can only be a good sign, hopefully will be perfectly fine as a good presenter and seemingly a top guy.
