yeah, i can understand why you posted it as it quite clearly shows wrong on that website, and you were to know no better. But why keep arguing that we are wrong? Instead would it not have been better to say "oh sorry I just got it off that website, it must be wrong"

listen mate - i like the LCR, im not knocking it - i was just comparing a similarly powered car to whats expected to be the new corsa VXR (ie. around 200hp)
im pretty sure those figures are indeed as you say - wrong, but as i said before - a few 0.0's of a second dont really make too much of a difference anyway, i didnt say that i was right and everyone else is wrong, i posted my links, Matty G posted his - i even conceeded! but to then come on and say "get your facts right before posting" when i posted someone elses figures.... :/
anyway - i digress, back to the corsa VXR

the Corsa VXR isnt competing against the 3MPS is it? its in a different class, a class which has the Astra VXR. the Corsa is aimed towards the Punto, Clio, Fiesta etc etc

the new corsa isn't much smaller than the mazda 3 at all... it's in the same category as the megane, punto, civic etc
all the technical info on the 3 mps has said it's got 240ps, apart from an internal info thing i got recently which said it has 260ps. if you look on the mazda site though it says 250ps so it's anyones guess

no its FWD, but it has an awesome LSD and all sorts of power/torque delivery control. its fucking fast. much faster than the ST220, Golf GTi, Astra VXR etc

yes Pop, its also an awesome machine!! very very quick point to point. Mazda are pumping out some truly awesome cars recently, and not cutting corners!!! seriously considering a 3MPS if i get this new job im after

lol, well - using my fave site (whatcar? is usually wrong) it says the MPS is front wheel drive, 2.3litre, id also agree with cybermonkey and say that its not in the same catergory as the corsa, the mazda 3 is the same as the golf gti, astra etc but not the corsa... i dont think.
oop and can i just add - i dont like its styling... id rather have an astra vxr.

pmsl there is a 250kW remap for the 3 MPS advertised in my motor mag, thats 335bhp pmsl through the front wheels...
