been lookin into it, theres a few gti's/VTS's with turbos about now supposed to be a very reliable conversion and good for 200bhp out the box which aint to shabby for a 1.6
engine wise yes but i wouldnt fancy the chances of a 106gti gearbox or clutch holding up too well, mine shafted and i was only running 150bhp

My mates gear box blew going down the strip. He then had a dog box which he then replaced for a VTR box.

since the turbo went on, its miles quiter on tick over and normal driving. under load, dump valve and whoosh noises. lovely car. shall have to get the fonz to let me take some more video of it one night next week

dont know, ive been at work the last few days so havent found out yet. felt like it was going to be fast when went out for a quick drive up the road and back. no full throttle action though as had to set 5th and 6th injector
