nice

I'm trying to get a testing session (track eve) on the 6th for the car....

Aiming to run full slicks on the day.... with 600lb springs If its wet it'll have to be the mince road tyres that are on the stock wheels.

Its going to be interesting going at brands if i cant get some time in the car before had.....

Should have about 400bhp too... low boost.

Is this the nova that used to be red'ish and set a good time at the Ring? Had a wee bash?!

All though Oli's old Nova was Red....

And equally as comfortable inside

But I really don't think you've got too much to worry about at Brands....

This is what happened shortly after Oli installed the 1.6 16v on Throttle Bodies

Sorry Oli.... couldn't resist

I've taken it to the ring before, was a few years back. I started one lap with Lee behind me and soon lost him, got slowed up Kasalchen (sp) which is the back ''straight'', he caught bk up but once past the traffic I lost him again. On paper his seems faster and he seems to know how to drive

And Neil, nice one! Brings bk fond memories seeing F503 again. That one managed a 14.5 1/4mile with the c16xe on bodies with standard internals, unmapped It also managed to write-off a Transit van in that crash

Cheers.
Its running 169bhp at the moment, which is good for 256bhp/ton
With the new cams I hope to see around 190bhp which'll give it 287bhp/ton
and with a bit more weight saving I'll hit my target of 300bhp/ton

Its got a bit porky over the chrimbo period Had it on some corner weight scales the other day and it was 660kgs!

The cams are Broster's old ones, he was running over 190bhp and had a lower spec on the rest of the engine, so 190bhp should be easily achievable.

It's more to do with the decent map that goes with the pointy cams.

Not planning on raising the rev limit to achieve the gains, but you're right it would help. The gains will come from the increased duration and substantial increase in lift from these cams, plus some improved mapping!

Its finally getting there, the impending trackday on Wednesday has spurred me on a bit

One of the wings in the 'booth'

And on the car

Unfortunately Paintstore gave me the wrong colour blue, so after spraying then flatting again, out came the Halfords rattle cans! The finish is pretty good, but the cans ran out on the LH wing so the finish is a little dry.

Now some blinging painted up pics
