I think on any spec 8v corsa up from a 'Merit' or similar the looms are practically the same. Just some wires are used and some aren't.
I'll post up what wire is what when I sort my loom out this weekend. Easy done though

Going back up to the garage this afternoon to sort a bit more of the wiring. Should have the dizzy on and wired up and wired up the starter motor.
Need some bits from Vauxhall before I can try and start it: throttle cable from a 1.4 SRi; water hose for round the back; fuel hoses and a water hose to the heater matrix.
Think the end is in sight though

So close now! Literally just got the 2 fuel pipes to connect up, buy a water hose from vauxhall, adapt the brake vacuum hoses, collect my accelerator cable and put the battery in. Should be running next weekend, fingers crossed

May have forgot to mention that I also need to set up the gear linkage and sort the speedo cable too. Not much though really.
Will give it a run next weekend and see how she is. Will be nice to drive it again, its been nearly 3 months since it came off the road
Decided to sell the Azev wheels and stick the Astra GTE rims on for a bit. Hoping to purchase some 16" Pro Race 2's in black ready for the shows etc

Todays progress:
Dodgy old hose for the back of the engine, replaced with silicone one
Accelerator cable fitted (1.4SRi Corsa one, perfect fit), fitted breather hose (as above). Also charged battery up.
To do:
* Extend Nova Engine Wiring Loom and plug in.
* Set-up gear linkage.
* Put speedo drive in to gearbox.
* Sort brake servo vacuum pipe.
...erm, think that's it!
Then it 'should' start and I can drive it to get the exhaust sorted out

Mounts are the same and I think I'll manage to re-use the original fuel pipes (just need to work out which is which, lol).
Feel free to U2U me if anyone is doing this conversion. Bargain 100bhp imo

HOW MUCH! For a 1.6 Nova engine! Recon this has cost me less than £200 including buying the engine, rebuilding it and buying bits a pieces. £750 for a valver, fair enough, but not a 1.6 8v.

The AFM on these engines acts as a ECU as well, the so called ECU on this engine just controls the sparking.

Oh its a big un! I think the later Nova GSi engine's didn't have a AFM, or atleast they had a smaller one. Jobs fcuked without it tho!
