Please dont start going on about Heysel and who was at fault, etc. if you dont know all the facts. All the blame got thrown on Liverpool fans when, although there is a certain amount of fault, wasnt all down to them.

And the ban hurt us more than any other clubs, missed 3 European Cup, 2 UEFA cups and 1 Cup Winners cup.

Might be 7 seasons including Heysel stadium disater.

Though that was more UFEA fault for chosing an unfit stadium

Exactly, our Chief Exec at the time Peter Robinson even asked UEFA to change the venue as said it wasnt safe to host such a large match.

Ban helped us we got some many decent English players becuase they wanted to play in Europe.

Souness was a cracking manager and player for us.

Though this is a stupid post in the first place in every sport ever. Teams have cycles of sucess and decline. It would be pretty boring if a team had won every league since the 1800's

Will always be a few big players but times change.
