Ive been thinking in my head of possible things to do once its back working.
I was thinking:
Get the rear wheels spaced out 25mm
Coilovers wound right down 100mm or whatever.
Milltek twin oval back box (not interested in a silly noisy full system!!)
Corbeau targa reclinable buckets & maybe retrim the rest of the interior to match??
Or............sack it in & buy a rallye:
Hmmmph keep dreaming

Colin, if the white one hasn't gone, it might be worth keeping the plastic arches and flogging them on eBay if they're in good nick

not read all the posts but i would with out a dout be skimming the head everytime the head comes off it should be done. very important because the gasket had gone the head will be miss shaped and will only cost around £25 anyway so well worth it.

Built the head back up toady :
Note the stud missing from the manifold, it only had 5 studs holding it together when I removed it & has been drilled out at some point (at an angle ) & is a bit of a mess, I was going to refit with 5 again but thought id give it a go of drilling it again & using a thread tap to make new threads. Its holding me back a bit but worthwhile doing imo.
Also gave the injectors a clean up :
All is assembled ready to put back on :
Hopefully get it finished tomorrow
