James, really, don't bother with a respray. The paint will never be as strong as the original paint, you will suffer with stonechips a lot more, plus more paint = more weight

Keep going with what you've got. U've done a superb job having all the stuff powdercoated. Strip the underside, paint that white as well.

But you have to decide what you want to do with the car? Show car or track car, or fast road car? (tack car track car.... you have a daily drive )

If you want a track car, look at perspex rear windows, plus the perspex boot and window then call it a day with weight saving. U'll be down in the low 700's with a rear end lighter than an anorexic girl. It'll be quite skittish as it is (under hard braking while cornering on track).

U've got the basics done. Fibreglass wings are a waste of time, the originals are so light as it is.

I'd look at the other things u need to do. Braided brake lines, braided fuel lines and alloy tank? Lightweight 4 pots (if its track use, Wilwood Superlight 285mm jobbies will be fine, due to the weight of J18, u won't need any bigger at all). Look at a bias box.

Get soem 4 way scales and start looking at distributing weight as evenly as possible, battery, fire extinguisher etc...

Donnas fibreglass bonnet needed loads of work to get it right on the car as well.

Have you decided what you want to do with the engine? I'd say get the basic 1.6 16v working well, even leaving the standard inlet etc.. With the weight, it'll go really well, and this is something you can work on after you've really put the car through its paces on track and found any issues that may come up. Just put on an oil cooler
Engines are expensive to tune, but if the cars setup well, it'll thrash a lot bigger faster cars. Its really all in the setup.

Oh, and get some fully adjustable suspension £2k jobbies

With carbon bonnet aswell

Sticker kit.....

VX Racing, jsut not like that other corsa that was done. Actually try to copy the VX Racing team? Or even go old skool and go the Irmscher yellow colour scheme. Would be dead easy seeing as your car is already white

Rally/Race slag styleee.

Oh, i'd deffo say try to get a lightweight bonnet whatever though, as any weight off the front end will always help even out the distribution. Never gonna win on a Front engined FWD, but getting as close to 60/40 will be good. If your going to get a carbon bonnet, don't be an attention whoare though, at least spray it on the outside (then the hardcores can see the carbon underside when your parked up with the bonnet up )

I assure you. The paint will be done to a higher standard than what is already on the car.

You don't worry about being laughed at for needing a bolster seat to drive though

Cav colours are

More to the point, we're 20+ and still driving a corsa. Colour scheme shouldn't really matter...
