what about walcott?
any1 think hes capable of stepping up this year?
also any1 see the goal he scored for the under 21's a while back... ran from the half way line and bent it round the keeper. henry-esque.
IMHO wenger bought walcott to be the next henry... similar type of player

Walcott could be the new Henry, hes still sooo young so cant really comment. But if Wenger stays, Walcott could be immense. They Wouldnt pay £11m for some badger.

I don't think that Wallcot is the new henry. I think he could be good but to say Henry like is one of the best in the world and thats a bit ask.
That said Wenger is moulding him in exactly the same way as Henry - start him out on the wings rather than playing him up front from the start.
I think this year he has to make some real progressions. IMO at the moment hes a bit too much of a hit and run rather than going round players and you need both to be a top striker

Bit gutted he's leaving the prem but it was obvious he was going. Walcott looks ok but he's no-where near ready to start filling henry's boots.

Henry isn't that good, in the games I've seen him play he is lethargic and not at all entertaining. I find players like Yakubu and Martins far more entertaining.
Good ridance to the French twat.

Goals win games, and Henry gets you bucket loads of goals. Entertaining or not. Although I happen to find him very entertaining, if a little arrogant.

They made it through the season without a title challenge of any note as well though

Can't believe that Henry scored something like 51 goals in the last 45 odd games at Highbury. Staggering record, he'll be missed big time.

If Darren Bent lives to be 100 he won't make as big an impact on the Premiership than Henry has.
Darren Bent is the new Kevin Phillips couple of good goalscoring seasons but can never quite establish himself in the England team in front of the big names.

Because he used to play for ipswich
Not a chance, he's nowhere near as creative, exciting, skillful, presenceful (is that a word )
