ooooo the dreaded Greenstar

The condense pipe the Flue and the earth connection on the wiring is a pain

Im sure your dads fitted a few of them though as their very popular (Its a safe bet he has more patients than me to)

I forgot to connect the expansion vessel up once to, lucky I remembered before the little plug popped out

This purley an investment to sell on or 2nd home Ect?

Amazing thread, only just seen it! Good work Whittie! Only thing I'd do differnet is put in some more connections for the tv on the wall to save having to do it in the future, even if its just s-video

i agree, they just need painting.

make sure the first coat is very very thin, or else you'll get it brush mark-y (ropey)
if too thick the paint sits on the surface, in time you'll find it can crack and you'd be able to peel it off.

out of interest, can you let me know what hight the under part of the window sil is from the floor... then to the open part of the window frame, when the operner is open...in this room please..

our building inspector says our windows are 100mm too high, he's now changed his mind.. sort of!

Is that your main windows that are too high neoquip ? A window is a fire escape so it has to sit within the set heights. In the photo above theres another window which is much lower , therefore a fire escape.

So if yours are too high its a bit of a problem

only the rear bedroom windows, 100mm too high.

building regs say bewteen 800-1100 to the bottom of the window, ours are at 1100mm at the bottom of the window, now buildings inspector says its 100mm too high, he has backed down on the issue now though
