Mine's been struggling to start, I need a new alternator/battery, but it's not not started yet, so I'll leave it

How much was your battery?

UPDATE: NEW WINTER WHEELS 12-01-2008

Picked up the new coilovers today which are a set of FK Konigsports so fully adjustable height and dampening!

Also as robin described me, im becoming a right wheel whore, bit of an impulse buy but bought some inverted steel wheels to fit as winter rims!

UPDATE : 03-02-2008 Winter wheels

Right so this is the update from then but never put it in here, have had to raise the front now as it scrubbed alot but never mind.

The front camber has also been adjusted to that they sit in under the arch now so are fully legal.

Also the tracking made it alot better.

UPDATE: 10-02-2008 Getting More Original With The Fuel Cap

Only a very small thing but its all the small things that add up.

Always been like this since i bought it;

No sticker behind round the filler so bought this;

Then i fitted it, this is before i smoothed all the crappy bits out;

And refited the fuel cap;

Just need to take cap off and spray it satin black again so it looks all fresh!

strangely it looks awesome from the side but not that great when you can see that the rims aren't that wide.
rest of the golf is stunning tho

UPDATE: 25-04-08 Its been a bad week.

Right so 2 days before my MOT (which ill get to in a bit) A lovely road around my areas, all roads by me are shit btw, decided it would spring a nice pot hole on me in the dark.

Didnt see it but bloody well felt it, the splitter hit teh floor so it was big.

And the damage to my car is:

All details gona be sent to council but duno how im gona play it with it not being a standard wheel.

So swapped the wheels for MOT, Dont see why as it failed on 15 things anyway

1 earth was about 6 of the things, one dodgy connection on a bulb, horn didnt work which it did but they were pressing the wrong button, twats!
Exhaust rubber, 2 rear wheel berings needed adjusting.

and a few other niggle bits,

Did them all in 2 nites and then passed so it has another years MOT.

One thing that i was a bit confused was that i got advisorys for:

Sports Exhaust

Sports Suspension

Braided brake hoses

And the suspension is apparntly to hard for road use and there for he classed it as unsafe for the road.

hmm!

UPDATE: 25-04-08 Wheel arches have been rolled and flared.

Right so got the arches rolled and most importantly got them pulled a small bit so has a nice little flare.

Has given me about 3/4 " front and rear.

Got some rusty bits though and also some cracking filler which im gona have to sort but not an issue as i decided that im gona be painting the whole thing in a few weeks

Straight black!

Gona start to prep it next week and taken a few bits off already but more to come off this weekend.

Anyway pics of arches:

Front:

Rear:

should give me a bit more clerance as i wana get some 8" wide bbs rms front and 8.5" rears

Update for tonight, wheel bearing decided to colapse on the way to my girlfriends house so had it on the back of a low loader to home, looks like ill be replacing the wheel bearing this time and not adjusting it.

Bit odd as the were fine after adjusted and 2 days after that!
