Got mine, it's in 1 piece too.
I was quite surprised, having been told it'd be after the 15th. Obviously, I'm not complaining. Great phone, though.

i rang up cust services and just went straight through to retentions
then i told them a load of bullshit about having been into town and carphone warehouse offering me it on pretty much the same deal for £25 month contract. and if they couldnt get anything to match or beat it that i would just have my PAC code there and then
total lies but it fucking worked

Which network did you quote?
I might just say I've seen this deal
http://sales.mobiles4everyone.com/display.asp?hs=n95
(top one)
Works out at £21.88 on a 12 month contract. Does involve cash back but it's the cheapest way of getting one, and as long as you do send the bills off you will get the money back
Thats on an N95 but I'llo just ask for a K850 instead

Didn't work. Said they can't do anything untill 27th October as thats when my upgrade is due (1 month early)
She said I can request your PAC code now for you if you need it but the system won't allow us to upgrade you. I suspect she only said this as she sort of knew what my plan was
Might just do that N95 deal on Orange

Matt H - Did you go straight through to the retentions department?
My contract was due to end on 30th Dec meaning the earliest I could upgrade was the 30th Nov. I rang up about a month a go asking if I could upgrade early and they said no, then when the K850i was released I tried again and again they said no.
As I'm impatient, I decided I would ring up and cancel my contract and pay the remaining 2 months line rental. Then get my PAC code and take out exactly the same contract as I already was on. So I went straight through to retentions and told them what I wanted to do, I was told instead of cancelling I could buy out my contract which meant paying the last 2 months line rental but keeping the same tariff/number etc.
The bloke went off to check with his manager and when he came back he said they wouldn't charge me at all! He also upgraded my tariff for me as well so in the end got a pretty good deal!

Yeah straight to retentions. How much do your bills come in at though?
I think a call back is in order
For anyone wanting a deal to compare to when calling, mobilephones2yourdoor.com are doing 500 mins & 500 texts on a £40 tariff with some chequeback to make 7 months 1/2 price
That makes it £25 on a 12 month contract

I've been on the old Online 200 tariff for the last few years which cost me £30 a month, hardly ever went over my free mins and txts.
The bloke I spoke to gave me his ext number etc, if I've still got it, it might be worth giving him a call as he was really helpful.

just use your pac to port to a voda payt sim and then transfer back onto a new o2 contract
my k850 has just arrived even though when i rang them on the weekend i was told i would be lucky to get it this week cos they were waiting for stock to come in on the 16th october. idiots
and theyve sent me a new sim for some reason
