Surely the ones with the holes and gap cut for the tow eye will just snap when you try and force the tow eye through it?

quite a gd chance of that yeah.

i dont think ed meant anything about it being a copy bumper, more the mail order colour match

f/glass and plastic very very rarely are a perfect match to the surrounding metalwork, gd examply would be brand new audis esp in silver bumpers are always miles out from the wings/1/4 panels

colour seems to take to the plastic/fglass differently. we occasionly have problems with this in work. even have saw bumpers with paint blended into wings etc still doesnt even look close

same with mondeo bumper, have painted bumpers that dont match, i then flicked into the front wing and didnt change it, the red on the audi a4 bumpers is the worst i recon, that is miles off!

***PLEASE NOTE***

what ever after market bumper fitted there is likely to be mis-match.

below is my Irmy bumper fitted and painted by Vaux mechanics (Frosts, W Sussex) in June 06 in some photos there is v little if any difference, bit it can be noticed on others. this photo is genuine and not alterred in anyway....

Did the colour match on your front bumper in your avatar?

[Edited on 17-10-2007 by Robin]

Ed i'm still interested as to why the paint won't match because its a replica irmscher bumper.
The colour wont match if he's painting it to any colour you like without even seeing the car it's going on in the first place.

The colour, the arches look a bit off too, but it's only a photo so it's impossible to tell really.

we are discussing the colour matching here, the fitof the front bumper is top. but the arches and bumper were done at the same time by the same people and leave this result

The rear has had a bump at some point, that is different to the, sides & roof, which is different to the front bumper, passenger wing and bonnet
