no, thats turbo chatter

caused by the turbo stalling

its ideal to have no chatter at all

my astra has none

dump valves are designed to stop the turbo stalling, hence stopping turbo chatter, but ive still heard of evos stalling with dump valves

id maybe join the seat site and see what they do to overcome the problem

i wouldnt be bothered about high millage in some cars, my dad changes his company car every two years, they have about 40k done on them a year and its all motorway so 6th gear is only one mainly used, plus as its a compnay car its maintained regardless of cost

IIRC instead of a dump valve on these VAG 1.8T's, you need a 'closed loop diverter valve'.

My mate has a LCR 225 and has been in touch with his rolling road and thats what they recommend.

He used to have a dump valve on it but the engine didnt like it so removed it.

Has since been re-mapped to 252bhp.

Good laugh

the standard spring in the forge 007p's is fine up to 400bhp worth of boost.

bills 400bhp ibiza still uses the stock green spring and it works fine.

I used to have the 007p one on mine but changed it for the new forge split R valve, really loud now that the cars been mapped, got my forge TIP as well just need to get it fitted, looks like a nice one you have mate dont worry about the mileage i'd rather have a car with over 100k looked after miles on it than one with 50k abused ones

the good ole ibiza cupra

nice to see my THS intercooler set up is still famous

forge 007p for a recirc valve

air filter set up, get a green cone filter and buy a mk4 golf CAI jobbie off ebay for £50 and cut it down to fit the ibiza. i had that set up on my ibiza and it used to go 10 to the dozen.

cant recomend nomad pillar pods enough, qulaity bit of kit, pricy at £70 but for oe looks you can't go wrong

as for intercooler on stage 1...yes. made a big difference to mine, pulled hell of a lot harder, especially at the top end of the revs where they tend to die off rapidly.
