Agreed, did well at clubs but nothing proven top top level IMO (ie compared to a Hiddink, Capello, Mourinho etc)

were these rumours from friends that are high up in the FA?
did they send you a text? or just rumours chatting to them over msn?

Its probably common knowledge Steve. Hammer will be on in a minute saying he knows for a fact Shearer killed Maddie and not her parents.

wenger wouldnt be as good a manager at international level imo. because a big part of his game is to bring in young lads who no1 has heard of (mainly foreigners) and make them stars

Yeah but individually some of those players arent that amazing (some of them are though). He makes them look a hell of a lot better by getting them to play together in a great style of football. That, more than anything, is the biggest part of his game.

True but he would sort the FA out and also do a similar rol with the youngsters like he does at arsenal but yes, in some respects a lot of his nous is in signing good players and making them stars

Wenger wont manage England unfortunate as it is.
I think realistically theres only Martin O'Neil, Fabio Capello & Redknapp that should be considered for the job (IMO)

Capello out of those ones IMO.
O'Neill if we really have no other choice.
Redknapp shouldnt get the chance, has proven nothing in his career that shows he can manage the national team.

I'd not be pissed off if Capello got it.
M'ON is alright, but I'm not sure on him tbh.

IMO we need to play on Mourinhos ego and tempt him with the chance to have an all encompassing role and therefore the chance to win the WC

I agree
But just dont think he'll want to take it. Not when he could, in theory, go to any club in the world and manage. Maybe in the future, but cant see him turning his back on domestic footy just yet.

I dunno, I reckon the WC situation and the chance to get an active role in the fa might tempt him... hope so
