he didnt. he was making a smart arse comment which back fired. a 300bhp impreza isnt a fast car at all really. id get bored in a minute driving one.

But on anything other than a straight road, the 300BHP Impreza would totally out-handle, out grip and out perform the corsa - thus being 'faster'.

Depends how far ahead the Corsa got on the straights before the bends tbh.

FWMSL
WTF Are you on?
hmmm version 5 STi Type R for example, low 4`s 0-60, 0-100 low 11`s how the fuck is that not fast? And thats not even taking into account the blistering A>B pace, i dont give a fuck if some LET Shed corsa has 400bhp it will be in a hedge.

its not a proper afr gauge. its a cheap shit one. id ignore pretty much everything it reads
WRONG
It works fine..i will get a wideband when my ECU is mapped.

Oh makes sense now, i dont know what muppet drives but im guessing its got a powerful LET.
yeah they do destroy every other car out there, especially evos and scoobs innit.

you seem to completely ignore the fact that its actually possible for a 'shed' to actually handle. a 'shed' that has proper suspension set up, a 'shed' with a fair bit more power, and a 'shed' driven by someone who knows how to drive the 'shed'
you think of a corsa shit heap at a cruise. why must you think my car would be like that? its far from that. but i suppose your always going to be right. especially when your talking about something you know nothing about at all.
is that enough elaboration?

No, you havent elaborated on anything to be honest.
Sure i agree you could build a powerful corsa and make it handle/brake reasonably well if done properly. Ie not just spending £££ and whacking all kinds of performance parts on and hoping for the best.
I still dont believe it will handle/grip/brake like a standard STi or lancer evolution.
Then you could argue spend a similar amount on the chassis/brakes on the impreza and Evo and again it jumps a whole league ahead of a LET corsa.
I have driven a standard STi 4 impreza and the point to point pace was blistering, although understeer was evident.
2nd impreza, had anti-lift, ARB`s, bushes, with a decent geometry set up and superb neutral handilng and almost limitless grip. I could put down all 340bhp in any road condition/weather that was thrown at me.
If i had the chance id like to test drive a properly set up big bhp LET corsa to see what its like. I still cant see it being as good as the scoob/evo in terms of the points I have made.

the whole point of it all seth was that corsa nut said his 300bhp scooby would beat anyones cars off vagweb. and the fact is that it wouldnt. you then seem to slate something you dont know about. its peoples assumptions that get me all the time. i know what a 300bhp impreza goes like. i know i can get grip in 2nd gear which is good enough for me.
if he hadnt ran his mouth off about a 300bhp impreza, nobody would care. 300bhp isnt a great deal really.

Ok fair enough i guess i went on a tangent and did make an assumption.
I still think 300bhp in a 4wd car that weighs the same as a 1.6 focus and has the grip levels of my hands on heffer tits is a pretty potent car and one i would deem as "fast".
any pics/vids spec of your car then?
