Wouldn't mind seeing Jol TBH. Think he would be able to deliver the type of football a lot of our fans seem to need

I really do give up with the shambles that is Newcastle United. I was never a staunch advocate of Allardyce however to give him anything less than a season seems idiotic in my opinion.
Granted he wasn’t Ashley’s choice and I suspect that played a large part in him cutting his losses and starting again with someone he feels his team could work with.
As for the comment about flair I’d love to see a direct quote and not just some bollocks made up by the media. However I do think Allardyce negative tactics and so called ‘inferior opponents’ and baffling selections have contributed to his demise.
I’m really concerned at who we could possibly bring in as his replacement at this stage in the season. My personal preference would be a top continental coach like Ottmar Hitzfeld who Bayern have confirmed is leaving at the end of the season.

Also Shearer would be a fucking idiot to ever consider taking the Newcastle job. Can you imagine if he fucked it up? His ego would never recover, Geordie Hero to Geordie hate figure in one fell swoop

I think the minority of fans at St James' doing all the booing etc. have a hell of a lot to answer for and it is these idiots that are putting unnecessary pressure on both the management and the playing staff. However I don’t think Allardyce is completely blameless by any stretch of the imagination. As mentioned his tactics and selections have been quite baffling at times

I think like you say they are putting unnecessary pressure and creatign a bad atmopsphere etc and bad environment in which to operate... obv 2-2 at home to derby is shite but still, give them time to gel!
Its no coincidence that the 2 most successful prme clubs also have the 2 longest serving managers!

Newcastle fans = idiots. 3rd most disilussioned fans in the country behind Liverpool and Spurs
New manager will take 3 weeks to appoint at a guess.
That means the transfer window will close with no new additions.
That means another wasted season.
That means another summer of ridiculous turbulence with players being sold at a massive loss and Newcastle being held to ransom for overpriced mediocrity.
That means the new manager starts badly in August 2008.
That means that come Christmas the new manager is under pressure.
That means that Shearer makes more cowardly non-commital comments on the BBC.
That means the new manager will be sacked in January.
That means that the whole farrago starts again in January 2009, just in time for Joey Barton to be released from prison.
An absolute joke of a football club.

Cosmo - The only candidates I've heard rumoured are Redknapp and Jol.
However a popular one with the fans seems to be Van Gaal seeing how AZ are not perfoming too well in the league and are now out of the UEFA Cup

A minority of Newcastle fans are idiots, the majority actually understand that we need to rebuild and shouldn't expect miracles

FFS not this again. How they fuck are we being mentioned along with two clubs who have won fuck all for donkeys years when we've won everything other than the league since 2001 which no other English team has done.

Fleet Street is pretty central in London, not in the north of london It's an EC postcode...

The fact Diarra was apparently signed and sealed yesterday would suggest the next manager is already in cahoots at the club tbh.
