I'd be interested if it's going to be visiting knockhill every once in a while as other tracks are just too far for me to travel,
especially if I was to build a track car and trailer it, knockhill is aroung 150miles, the next decent track is over 300miles i think
so if you could put up with a scottish member only visiting scottish events then i'd be in
It's just too big a risk to take a car over 300miles to thrash it round a track and run the risk of not getting home

I think the idea is a fantastic one, and is defiantly something I would be interested in doing, as there seems little in the way of competition/alternatives from what you have described it as!

Yes, we've discussed Knockhill, the events will be wherever there is demand. You probably actually already have interest thanks to the work Adam has put in up there.

Threads that start on CS will probably stay here although we may suggest to people that future stuff will be met with a better response on WR.
I'll keep you posted on what is going on, may well come over and do a bit of spamming at some point if that is OK with you

Not sure what ian thinks on that matt, but IMO the only ties with CS will be the fact its run by the same people, and on cs to start with
if you move all the non corsa stuff over there might not work, but obviously if it involves the subjects WR is focusing on, then yes, i would agree it would more use on there, but only whilst there is the incubation periode, if you see what i mean

Ian/Jr - that is what I meant really
I think CS would benifit massively is the corsa and general car related stuff was a little more seperated. Just how I would like it any how.
It sounds really good and there is certainly a gap in the market Ian any time you want to do it let me know (we have some new rules in place tomorrow but its not a problem).

going off that banner that steve has put up, is it going to be aimed primarily at Track day enthusiasts - or - just at people that want to get out with their cars and do more on their cars etc which includes track days as a main factor.

as already mentioned distance is a prob for some members but of course demand would sort that out
my main hesitation is i wouldnt want to take my own car on track

again, im going on what i know Mat (and its not everything about WR), but anthing thats involves trackdays/off roading etc etc
Just basically car related stuff, either fun or going fast etc etc
i think it orginally was track days stuff, then Ian found out about off roading

Primarily recreation track but we also discussed competition stuff, clubman type level although the 'proper' motorsport stuff is well covered. Off road / green lane kind of snook in there and may or may not make the launch.

it will work well Ian, I think you should add the off road stuff, some great motorsports out there that you can do with not that much money.

Sounds like a good idea - am looking forawrd to seeing how it works out.
As has been said, it should be good to get all the info from different sites into one channel.
Would be good to get a few FAQ's on there from various other forums if you could. Stuff like engine swaps (like the PDF's on valvers.com), power upgrades (Bike Throttle bodies) etc etc.
Anyway, Let's be honest Ian, you just wanted some more livery to put on the corsa when it's done didn't you?
