round my area there are atleast 2 ST focuses,
VXR astra, and Scoby's.
they are shits and will pull you over for doing 1mhp over the speed limit.. or as they put it.. The reason for pulling you over was because "you looked suspisious"
Plus the little bastards will F*** your car over if anyone gets lippy then they will impound it and crush it.
Mate got 3 points because his ped's light was nw from the police officers point of view.. fact was that he had a gilera DNA and they have head light like ducati's one side is main beam the other side is dipped.
posty round my ways is a bit of a drunk, cops pulled him up about it, came into work next day black and blue because the cops kicked two kinds of crap out of him.. lovely police round here, such care for the comunity!

Police are supposed to be 'skilled' drivers, so they should be able to use that skills and apply it to a scooby and keep up with your average driver.
You're always going to get people with faster cars than Police, so I don't see why they feel they have to spend such a fortune on ridiculous cars to keep up. If someone wants to get away they will get away, and I can see Mr proud Policeman in his company RS4 being a bit scared of binning his 50k Audi, whereas in the BM's etc it doesn't really matter.
