This could only work on a mass scale, as in every car club on one particular day with particular regions holding up various sections of big motorways across the country. Would effect everyone then not just a small minority. Im always up for a spot of trouble making

You could try replicating the Fast and furious scene and try to heist a tanker....i feel the chugs of the diesel wont cut it though

just do what they do near mine all sit on the floor outside the depo so the tankers cant get out. when the police come to move you (picking you up) some 1 else jumps in the place the police soon get sick and just sit in there cars
no tankers can get out and do this for days at a time does more damage then a stupid jam on the motorway

It really could work. You'd only need 4 cars.
The law is that the minimum speed on a motorway is 40mph. All four of you could accidentally brake down at accidentally the same position on the motorway. How would they prove you're lying? It'd cause absolute havoc doing it on the M25 at rush hour. You could make the biggest traffic jam in history quite easily if you plan it well and have a few willing and intelligent people who know each other well.
Obviously 4 cars would be a minimum, but even that would take ages to move... Imagine blocking the hard shoulder too. The recovery van would have to drive the wrong way down the motorway.

Genius - you total fucking tool.
Think about what you're saying?
Blocking motorways so the everyday Joe in the street is late for work, untold tailbacks, people late for appointment - some of which might be urgent, missed flights, dangerous driving as people attempt to pass and the small matter of what happens if emergency vehicles need to get through - then it becomes a matter of life and death for some poor cunt(s)
Do something about fuel prices by all means - but not at the expense of the people that you claim to be trying to help by pissing them off and disrupting them trying to go about their everyday business.
Idiots, plain fucking idiots.
Tell all the lorry drivers that done that last week then.
The lorry drivers have their livelihoods at stake - and they were only protesting for the price of diesel to be dropped (for their benefit) - I have no problem with the lorry drivers doing what they did if it means they stay in employment - a load of "cruizerz" in modded motors wanting cheaper petrol so they have more disposable cash to spend on other things can hardly be compared to lorry drivers who are at the ends of their financial means!
Another one to add to the idiot tally.....
Your obviously the idiot if you think that its gonna be any safer just because its lorry's doing it. All the same things are still involved i.e potential accidents, emergency services not getting access and so on.
So basically because its Lorry's, You think it's safer??
I agree with you, Modded cars doing it is just going to be ridiculous and look sooo stupid but it doesnt mean its any more dangerous than lorry's doing it. Dont you agree on that?
Listen dipstick - where did I say that the lorry drivers doing it was any safer?
I said at least they have a valid reason for it.
Learn to read or sit down and shut up.

How dont the bikers have a valid reason?
If petrol keeps rising more people will lose their jobs, petrol prices dont just affect the lorry drivers jobs.it affects the average joe just as much.

When did I mention the bikers protest?
Jesus people, at least read posts before passing comment on them.
The bikers protest is no more relevent or worthy than the proposed "Cruiserz" one - being done with one thing in mind - to have more money in your own back pocket, and whilst I totally agree with that, you can't compare it to the truckers campaigns as the price rises directly affect their livelyhoods which involves thousands of people.
That's all I'm saying - if you're going to comment on this post then please read it carefully.....

To make it have any effect at all you need companies throughout the area to assist with the road block causing a much wider knockon affect. meaning not only havoc on the roads but havok to the industries. Any ideas on how long it would take 6 people to dig a hole big enough for a tanker?!
Took me long enough to dig a pond out in my garden
Maybe discuise it with paint as something like a milk tanker

Yes but at least theres some people out there trying to improve things for the rest of us.
Unlike most people who sit back and just pay the stupid prices.
how are they trying to improve things? driving slowly on a motorway.
fuel prices wont come down.
so either sit back and pay stupid prices or use public transport.

imo.....road blocks aint the answer to this problem.......
IF it could be done.............every driver needs to NOT buy petrol or diesel for 24 hours or even a few days........then the fuel companies and the goverment would lose that much money that they would have to do something about it.....
as I said it would be hard to do......you'd have to get every driver in the uk to not buy fuel......so it would be all of us against the goverment and fuel companies....not just the truck drivers
