I ask myself that question aswell, i mean ive had 2 Corsa B's both on 94 plates and both where the same rot wise so I know what to expect from early Corsa shells, i mean when we hammered the fuck out of the underside we found one patch of rust which was welded up.
I really cant understand how i missed it, but they really did hammer the fuck out of it

The Turbo's now sitting outside my garage until I decided what Im gonna do, do I re-shell it?
Or do I like to another project such as a mk2 Golf Gti or something Ford

Decisions, Decisions

Well I've personally decided to re-shell it, knowing I've got a good engine sitting there Im just on the hunt for a decent shell.

Sticking with a Black Corsa, as much as everyone wants me to fit it into the Green One it won't happen, its my daily run around and Ive sort of settled on it being finished, things might change in the future but its doubtful.

So Ive decided on a re-shell, but now its just convincing my old man to go along with it, as its his garage and Im under his roof so he normally has last say in matters like this, but he should come around eventually

Was offered another P Reg Shell very local for 650 but i think im gonna stay clear of that one, a few have said its a decent shell but I would rather play safe with as much newer shell possible.

Currently in talks with BeArDy at the moment, will keep you all posted

I know mate, Ive just had very bad luck with 3 Pre-97 Corsa's so Im not going to chance it again

Yea Im glad Im keeping it, plan is to source the new shell, fit the LET along with everything else then leave it standard looking outside and leave my old man to drive it about as he loves it

And nearer to when Im driving it it will then have all its shiny fancy bits added on

thought you wanted a new daily driver, so it would be prefect to do that, then put engine in the green shell, which you already know is a good'un

Well I will keep my mind open for now, but I made my mind up along time ago on a Black Corsa Turbo, don't ask me why but I've always wanted one

I only have one problem now before I go any further, the parents

The fact we have 7 cars outside already and the fact Im under there roof etc. is what they keep going on about, sounds really sad I know but I sort of need the go ahead from them before I make any decisions, and trust me its not sounding good

Out of interest how much would you say I would get for it as it is, considering its and MOT failure, needs work and alot of tlc, and the fact I would probably just sell it for spares.

But how much would i get if i sold it all as it is now?

SXI - Matt - yes Ive sold it

lil_g - It went for £500 mates rates, it had more problems with it than I first thought, the BBS's are staying with me, but hes buying everything else and will be fitting it into his mk3 Astra

RYAN89 - I have noticed it, but personally its a long way off before I would have been driving it, and the car had so many problems that it really was the engine that was worth saving

fazza - sorry mate, but needed it shifted asap, I know my mate wanted the engine and knew he had the funds and he only lives a mile away so he could pick it up straight away.

Im not really as gutted about getting rid because I never really put my own stamp on the car, and plus Im putting more money towards my new car which I can actually drive and insure now.

Cheers
