That isn't too bad. I'm sure I could work out the fitting, but it would take a lot of time and effort. Would cost a fortune to pay someone to do it!

It's not that easy to just do it, the only person that has got close was Chris Astley and it seems he gave up.

I've noticed this over the last year too.

Fads becoming miserable, grumpy, and always right, just like me

even you Daimo are no match for Fad's strict policy on not spending money no cars because its a waste of time and all this jazz. Nothing like being positive eh

Well I don't own a car anymore, Donna won;t let me tune the VXR, so I think i win that one.

Bikes ftw, faster, cheaper, and if you gonna die, least you can fly first (as you go over that fence into a tree)

I would die of boredom if I didn't have cars to modify. I think fitting the Z16LER to a Corsa B/Nova is a brilliant idea, I just don't like the fact people believe it can be done on a shoestring and are guessing as to what is required for fitment.

It hasn't been done yet, when someone undertakes it, it will be a first and will require a lot thinking to get it all to work. It might well be easy to get the actual engine in, but to get it RIGHT will require a lot of head scratching which is what it's all about.

Fad is Mr Negative love it

fads attitude stinks.

But I agree with you ojc, would be great if someone could do it. It seems most of the comments on here are completely untechnical, alot of what you can't do and nothing about how to do it right, typical!

Canbus & Fly-by-wire FTL, this isn't a case of cutting wires to pieces and soldering them together again.

If the throttle is the same as the Z18XE you can use the X18XE1 throttle and have a cable as they are the same, just the X18XE1 has a pulley..

Even using the FBW throttle shouldnt be hard.

CAN BUS makes it even simpler! Everything is connected on a network of two wires..

As long as you can get the transponder to talk to the ECU you're fine.. You wont need a BCM or dash..

You should be able to use the standard transducer as a speed signal.

Now if the dash does EVERYTHING over CANBUS then you are screwed

The Vectra C is CANBUS and there are successful 2.8T transplants.

On Corsa C there are so posts.. I did it by Reflashing the 1.0 / 1.2 ecu and adding 3 extra pins to the loom connector.. Quite happy to do the ECU flash for a few £'s for anyone..
