Bodywork has started!!!
I was getting annoyed with some rust bubbles so decided I would start tackling the deal.
got the grinder out with the wire attachment...
took it down to bare metal...
then fingered some anti-rust primer on it...
also grinded down some rust on the door corner and put some green rust remover on it...
this stuff^^^
like so...
then grinded it again and fingered some anti-rust primer on that...
then rubbed it down and gave it some primer, which will get rubbed down inline with the paint so there is no step and painted. I didn't bother masking up the whole thing as it will get some cutting compound on it some point soon.

still need to give everything a good smoothing down then paint will begin, hopefully everything will be done tomorrow, then the rear aches will be done.
It does look really bad just now , but don't worry I've done this for years...

gave it a rub down today...
Painted it too, quite pleased with the colour match, just need to put some cutting compound on it in a few weeks when I put some clear coat on it and its hardened, this will merge the paint in and give it its shine again.
Fitted my Z3 reinforcement plates as well...

Paint match is pretty good considering you are offering it up to old red paint, will look better when buffed.
Liking it so far

It wasn't that hard just an annoying job taking off the bumper and drilling holes etc.
what pics do you mean just the front in general or the difference between the standard headlights and the HIDs?

The Z3 plates strengthen up the hole where the shock bolts onto because some times if you go over a massive pot hole/ bump the shock can rip right through the hole into the boot and destroy the mounting point so you need to weld it up, its just a bit of piece of mind really, BMW realised they needed it on the Z3 I wonder how they found thatout
Sadly I don't have before and after pics

The Parcelforce man came today...
GT corner splitters...
328i twin pipe exhaust, which removes the restriction in mine since it has 2 exhaust manifolds which go into 1 pipe, this has 2 pipes from the engine.
Gave the tail pipe a clean up...
After...
Will be fitting the GTs when I get some new plastic expanding rivots because more than likely they will break when removed to fit the splitters as they share the same holes as the M3 splitter.
Also probably should get new flange gaskets and rubbers maybe.

Looks lovely.Prefer the all in 1 gt splitter tho but the corner splitters do look tasty all the same.
