Arnold clark have been informed that Polished Bliss (ie. My brother and Rich) will be coming to inspect the Focus RS when it gets delivered. They are also under strict instruction to leave all transportation material and body wraps on the car. They will be checking the depth of the paint with the micrometer and checking for any overspray.
Handy having the UK's leading detailer (imo) for a brother isn't it?!!

I think its funny that they have to use a machine to test the depth of the paint. Erm hello, surely if you cant see anyhting wrong with your own eyes it doesnt matter?

Each to their own though!!

Really?
tbh my eyesights not all that great so any slight inperfections or different depth paint wouldnt bother me one slight bit.
I find it crazy, its a man made machine at the end of the day its not meant to be perfect............Id expect close but measuring the paint depth is too far in my eyes!

They look pants, but they are decent wheels though, German lightweight ATS rims.

You don't measure the paint to find visual defects. Its so you can find high, and low spots in the paint. Thus giving you a rough indication of which (if any) panels have been damaged and painted (this happens a lot with new vehicles in transit).
If you have the knowhow and the equipment, then why not use it to your full advantage?

Either that or discount equal to the amount it would take Polished Bliss to sort it out.

But surely there will be someone waiting to snap yours up if you reject it, then you have to wait another however many months for one, if you can get one seeing as they are limited numbers, then risk that not being perfect either?

Agreed on the wheels, not keen on the standard nurburgring ones at all.
A friend of mine has one, he ordered it with the VXR 19"s tho, and IMO it looks way better.
