the corsa is going to look amazing mate, white cars are gorgeous when mint and clean, i look foward to seeing this one.

hope you've got your bucket and sponge ready though mate because your definatly going to need it lol

Astra back on road

After 1 1/2 months waiting for a correct driveshaft to arrive

Now Whilst off the road I have fitted



Pre-cat pipe, Which I have heat wrapped. (Never took any pics myself

I have also fitted the second cat removal pipe



Which again I haven't taken any pics of as I was so eager to fit it

I wanted to fit my new fmic today but I have now noticed the turbo smoking again



So I'm gonna dig out the garret manifold and get my hands on a gt2860rs and hopefully get it fitted in time for TV @ crail on the 9th of August.

Just need to find someone up here to remap it for a reasonable price.

Hmm

Corsa update

Lifted the rear a bit, it was a bit bone shattering

Will upload pics later

It's developed an annoying noise too.

so in the past week it's had

New discs & pad
New Shoes
New rear bearings
New front bearing
New bottom ball joints
New tracking rods
New track rod ends
New strut top mounts
Removed anti roll bar
New bottom arm bushes

And still the noise persists

It's the diff,

xe? I think thats wht it's whispering to me....

Well got a gearbox last night

And picking up a redtop for it this weekend

Going to re-build the redtop before it goes in as it's sat for a while.

Will get in on an engine stand at work and do it in my spare time,

I have a check list for Total vauxhall at crail this sunday..

Refurb Wheels
Remove rust spots
Semi-smooth boot
Gsi Skirts
And fit gearbox

Should be fun

I'll get plenty pics at the weekend, been pretty useless with pics lately

Wheels are now white

Done the engine cover

Car comes apart tonight for another gearbox and a brand new clutch this time,



The boxes are getting ticked,

I have loads of pics but bear with me, will upload them all tomorrow

Gearbox and new clutch fitted,

Some fuckwit decided to his the brakes with the caliper off when I clearly said try the clutch

Resulting in piston coming out of caliper,

12.45am and I'm rebuilding my caliper no brake fluid to bleed it though so I'll do that today.

Got to sit down at some point and upload the pics.

One massivley worn hub and a gearbox change till 2am and it's mint again.

Got some new wheels for the Astra

They were in pretty poor condition. along with all 4 tyres.

Wanted them since as long as I can remember though so I bought them

Day I bought them, I stripped the tyres...



Gave them to brae classics to be blasted then to a mate to get them painted up and the curbing corrected...

I got them back last night, and fitted some tyres today. balanced them up and fitted them tonight



White marks are just tyre paste.

No pics of them on yet as it was dark and raining,

Cars taking shape and should be back on the road soon

Oh and the white corsa is gone,

Too many problems

Replaced it wit a lower mileage, better condition, bog standard silver 1.6 sport

Not done much,

Lowered on Jamex suspension
Wind deflectors
3" backbox

Dont think I;ll do much else

I got it off ebay mate, with all the hoses there.

It's one of that universal ones. But it came off a coupe so hoses were spot on
