Well, id done my mudflaps, id messed with my wind deflectors and i messed with my engine cover.
I really shouldnt be modifying my car or taking the other to bits, but i just get tempted into it.

Well, i figured i had nothing left to do so i thought i would do something i had been banging on about for a while

Seeing as i had de-wipered my boot, there was no need for the wiper motor, nor was there the need for that annoying scraggy and torn looking bump on my boot lid interior panel.

So i decided i was going to make my own, was hoping for a carbon sheet and doing it that way, but timesa re hard and all that Plus, this was more fun and probably would suit my 'theme' more.

Hardboard -

Then realised it wouldnt sit flat because of where my wiper motor used to earth too So sorted that -

Earthed next to it -

Old bit removed (aint painted up afterwards) -

Weight saving

All cut out and made holes for the pins to sit in -

Then i needed a womans touch 'Mummmmmmmyyyyyy ' -

All done -

Then pins needed doing matt black like all the other stuff ill be adding in summer -

Realised the parcel shelf clips wouldnt be matt black So that had to be done too...

All done -

The result?

Mmmm much better

Granted it doesnt look much, but its the small things that make it unique IMO.
Also, it will fit in place more when all my roof lining and everything else is in place (it was trimmed in same material as sunvisors, which was same colour as roof lining etc....)

Get those skirts on, I fitted mine on my own the day before PVS 07 - its easy!

I'm liking the board too, but weight saving? I'm sure the hardboard weighs more than the fabric bit did

I should be outside finishing the alarm off, but im ill as fuck for some reason and its raining, so ive decided to update my thread of things so far....

Well, its summer at last. Finally finished uni, so its time to make the sport mine

Things were a bit hectic finishing uni on the 3rd and having pvs on the 5/6/7th But you know.

Got me some stickers

Pre-PVS wash

Then swapped my aerial quickly before leaving for PVS

Weird thing is, with my old aerial i couldnt pick up Ram FM (Derby) but could pick up Hallam FM whilst driving round Derby swapped to the smaller Pug aerial and now i can pick up Ram FM wiothout a problem

She didnt look much at PVS, so er sorry if i let the stand down a bit, but you know, V947 wasnt built in a day!

VeeTwo hit a milestone 66k shortly after PVS.

Local scrappies had couple of cars in that interested me
Came out with Cav rear ARB and Combo front ARB - all for free because uncle works there

Got my paint too

Rubbed down

Painted up

Measured up and drilled

Pulled the rubber off as they had both perished, so improvised with some rubber i found lying round

Got all brakes and hoses off V947 also, so cleaned and touched up the calipers. And yes, Lee, they will be staying blue

Also decided i will be making a smooth petrol cap, so wanted to be posh and have a popper for it. Back to the scrappies and got myself boot pop button out of a Saab and solenoid from a Fiesta
although the ford solenoid worked opposite to how i wanted it to, but after messing about and taking it to bits i got it working how i wanted it to

Drilled the back of the petrol cap

Rubbed button down and sprayed it up matt black as that the theme im going for again.

Going to mount it here

Got my circuit working too So will wire it in when i move on to the inside of VeeTwo

Ive got a video of it working but CBA to upload it.

Im going to do my boot lock white when i can afford the paint. So sprayed my griffin with what i had in the garage (gloss black)

Also sprayed my vents gloss black - i know its probably pointless, but i do have this thing about small things being what makes something unique

Lastly and currently, i was getting fucked off with the alarm in my car. So ive set about putting the ai606 in. I hate ICE so dont know why i even attempted to do this, but you know. You dont learn if you dont try

I had a laserline alarm in the sport, and laserline wouldnt issue me with a manual or installation guide because 'all alarms are professionally installed by acredited personnel' so they dont get any come back for shoddy installation/failure to work Okay, gay.

This blue wiire -

Went along the door sill and then did a 180 degree turn and came back, to be connected to nothing

It got better
The ultrasonic sensors that were on the A-pillars, the passenger one was okay, but the wire then went across the top of the screen, to the drivers pillar, where it was taped up and the sensor just screwed on

Siren was a bitch to get out, but true, its not meant to come out easily.

Got it out eventually though

Does anyone know what this plug does? Its what my siren was wired into

Then got the Ai606 out with a bit more effort

Although was a bit shocked when i saw all the wires were the same colour Bugger.

The dash thingy off my old alarm left me with a big hole in the dash

The Ai606 LED sort of fit, so i bodged it a bit and you know, its not too bad now

Got the wires into the bay with a fair bit of swearing

Ive since wired the siren up and now just got the main wiring to do, soon.

Got new mirrors, and new rear lights too

Messing about

Girlfriend bought me a 1 year anniversary/end of uni present too

Its the RSX kit
Although a bit was broken

So phoned them up on the Friday before PVS and spoke to a chap there who sent me out the bit i needed. Then on the Sunday at PVS i was walking round the shop stands and stopped at Spax to talk to brother and mate about which bit i needed and to have a look at how the coils should be set up, and the guy i spoke to on the phone 2 days before was the guy on the shop stand Was a bit weird, but he was really helpful and went through building and setting up the coils with me. Top chap tbf

Oh and i also got a combo wiper stalk, because i de-wipered and have no use for a rear wiper, so im going to swap that over as the combo doesnt have a rear wipe/washer function I had a picture somewhere but using my phone and 2 other cameras to take pics, it gets a bit messy

Thats all for now anyways. Erm, i should really do something more constructive now....
