Madrid were shite...but we made them play that way. We didnt even have to try I thought...very comfortable and never in danger of conceding...
All without Gerrard and a fully fit Torres. Torres should have been taken off as soon as he felt the ankle...

Played well last night, went out with a game plan and it worked exactly right.
All that without Gerrard and with Torres being fucked over at the start - was getting kicked everytime he touched the ball.

Liverpool were rubbish Madrid were likewise shite (worst game Ive seen in ages tbh!) and I cant see them havign a hope in hell of goign to Anfield and gettign a win. Think all the English sides have a good chance of goign thru, think Liverpool are guaranteed tbh unbless madrid really pull sumamt out the bag, chelsea will probs be OK and Arsenal and Man Utd just need to play well and hope thatw asted chances dont bite us in the arse!

We went away to Madrid, where they have won the last 9 games, and let them have very few chances - then went on to win.
Strange way of being rubbish

We set out to play how we did. Madrid have been scoring freely lately (10 in last 2 games before they played us!!) so we stifled their play. Didnt give them a minute on the ball before a player or two was on top of them.
Had Arsenal gone there, with the way Madrid have been playing, you'd of had your ass handed to you.

You would of, as you lot cant play that football. You'd of gone and tried to attack like you do, and ended up giving Madrid the space needed. Im not saying their is anything bad about that, or that you couldnt of scored, just that you couldnt of stopped Madrid in the way we did.

In other words, Arsenal would have played entertaining football, yet lost. Whereas you played boring football and won?

If you want to look at it that way, then yeah. Although to me, being a Liverpool fan, it wasnt boring. And for fans of other teams - I dont give two shits.
At the end of the day Id rather play and win a load of games 1-0 (you'll know what thats like Marc being a United fan) rather than try to attack all out and get beat.

I didnt say ONLY Marcus - but I seem to remember reading or hearing that in your recent clean sheet run 6 or 7 (maybe more?) of the games were 1-0 wins.

You have to make sure you are also a footballing snob too, and can turn your nose up at any side that doesnt pass the ball 1,000,000 times before pushing it past the goal line with your arse.

Yeah, we're sick of having a far superior goal differance so thought we'd give other people a chance.

Whilst i agree we have had a lot of 1-0's, the games haven't been boring, it's just the other team putting everyone behind the ball in an attempt to get a point, because that's pretty much the only way they can get something
Hull came and tried to play us at our own game, and scored 3, but we scored 4
Was a good result last night for you lot, Real Madrid were awful though, but that's good for you, pretty much certainties (sp) for the next round now imo
