Nope but it just means Blukoo can show off again.
Fuck off
I've been waiting since Dec 2007 to see this car, and finally i get to. Also after the hassle with Ford losing/mis-placing it, surely i'm allowed to post about it.
[Edited on 29-05-2009 by BluKoo]
So you just post a thread up saying you have it? If you actually had some pictures for people to look at then fair enough but you have managed 3 pages of attention from nothing, oh and you got to mention the Porsche again.
Anyway hope the Focus was worth the wait.

I always mention the power because there were two differnet X50's made. The 430 and the 450.

I never claim the cars are mine.
If i really wanted to show off, i'd do that. Since i'm never going to meet any of you, how would you know the difference.

Last time I checked this was a car chat forum? I dont mind hearing about someones dads car collection Its certainly more interesting than constant bitching & debates whether a 106 gti is faster than a 2L XE corsa on a downhill with a slight tail wind!!

the amount of bitches on this forum is just silly
at the end of the day, his dad has some nice cars and as this is a car forum for car enthusiasts then most people would like to hear about special/high powered/nice cars, whether it be the posters or one of their friends/families.
with regards to the escort/focus debate. the escort is a masterpiece that still looks amazing by todays standards, the focus is built how team rs decided it was best, and i reckon they know a hell of a lot more about a cars capabilities than you/me/joe public.

Nice cars, and for the money theres not much out there to rival one.
As for the cossie/frs debate. The cosworth was a rally homologation special with a lot of out of house input in its design as its one goal was to win ford some rallys after their long absence from WRC.
The frs is just fords turbo hatch range topper - its a modern day equivalent to an escort RS turbo, not a cosworth. Why? Its not got a cosworth badge...

Does the new RS have the same chassis as every other focus? It shouldn't to be special TBH as the cossies were quite different.

I think the thing I dislike about this car is an apparent skimping on the development side. Apart from the "Revoknuckle" bit, there's not much new.
Whereas back in the RS Cossie days, the Ford base car was just that, a base, and Cosworth built up something special from there.
There's just too much Focus and not enough RS in my opinion.

The Focus RS isnt a modern day successor to the cosworth. Its a modern Day Escort RS turbo. In the escort RS turbo the chassis and body remained the same, just some trick interior and bodykit was added with a fruity engine under the bonnet. The same basic design criteria as the new Focus RS yes?
Untill the focus COSWORTH is released, its not fair to compare the RS to the escos. The escos was a purpose built homologation machine. The only fair comparison for the FRS is the ERST.

You have a fair point, but these cars are almost always mentioned in the same breath as WRC. Which links them in with the homologation development of the Cosworth cars.

I dont get why ford make such a fuss over "Revoknuckle"
Its essentially 2 ball joints on the hub insted of 1 and conected to the strut. The renault megan sport has been uesing this for years and they dont make the fuss that ford have.

It's to divert attention away from them not doing a proper job and making it RWD or 4WD.
