From BBC Sport site:

quote:
However, Calderon - who resigned as Real president in January - has told BBC Radio Five Live that it was agreed between all parties at the time that Ronaldo would move to the Bernabeu this summer.
"Last season, Manchester United decided not to do it because they thought it was too early," he said. "Everyone involved in the operation agreed to do it this season. That is what I can say."
And that view is supported by Juande Ramos, the former Tottenham boss who managed Real Madrid for six months from December last year.

"Am I surprised (that Ronaldo is joining Real Madrid)? No, because I knew it would happen at some stage," he told Five Live.
"We already knew that Real Madrid had a pre-contract agreement with Cristiano Ronaldo and that it was only a matter of time.
"I don't know exactly when that agreement was made, but I do know it was in place."

You put your transfer in, your transfer out,
In, out, in, out you fuck your club about,
You do the Cristiano and change your mind,
That's what it's all about!

Oh Ronaldo is a wanker, oh Ronaldo is a wanker, oh Ronaldo is a wanker.
Knees bent, arms stretched, dive, dive, dive

I'm talking to myself now But my FIFA news screen just flashed up that Ronaldo could potentially be pocketing £29m a year. Surely not

He was(is) quality in internationals as well. He's still nowhere near the level of a Ramos or an Alves.

Ramos isn't world class Hammer? There must be two dozen right back's better than him

Aye Hutton is nowhere near that level, but he's certainly not Championship quality As I said though, that's your typical reply from an Englishman (not all).

Do you really think any team apart from Celtic or Rangers would compete in the championship?

Maicon is good, but I don't think he's the best. Dani Alves 6 months ago, but he's not been that good recently!

Maybe not, but there are 2 better players that will be playing in the same league next season.
