Yes I know there is hope for everyone but the point I'm trying to make is that it all isn't as 'easy' as you make out it is - relationships get complicated, especially if the people involved have been together a while and have a lot of 'history' together - everyone's brains process thoughts and emotions differently.

i have been with my partner 7 years and we have never once split up, the day we do it will be for good, there will be no going back, if it didnt work the first time round then it isnt going to work imo

#1 rule, cut off all contact.
If you have complications then sort out your complications, there are very few complications which stop you from doing this for example, a baby or a house (though thats easy to sort still)...

Oh, on another note, it can work....
My ex dumped me for doing the naughty with my previous... Bad times, but later after a long break, me still thinking about her, and vice versa, she called me up...
9 years later, we live together, know each other inside out, and i've got no doubt we'll spend the rest of our lives together. Because we didn't jump into marrage, kids etc straight away.

God there are far to many whiney twats on here. If you have been dumped then theres nothing you can do other than man the fuck up and get on with your life, nothing you say or do will change anything so accept it. No ones brains process emotions differently, everyone hurts the same but its how we deal with them which makes us who we are. Strong people get on with it, weak people OD on paracetamol and vodka. er every person processes emotions compleatly differently from the next person its a very subjective human trait.
have a read through the wiki on emotion,

And although like i said in an earlier post im of the school of thought of just cutting all contact, to say when your dumped its over is quite an over sight, infact i would go as far as saying most couples who break up end up getting back toghether at some point, staying toghether in the long term never usually works out though.
