The rear surround was broken and the wings were rotting at the bottom.
Ian, the second car is spotless, the first car was sat unused for 11 months and needed a lot of money thrown at it. It's worked out better buying a good one and saving what I could from car 1.
I've for to use it as my daily drive soon too, so having the tidy one was better.
Graham, they're the BRs, see good so far, quite comfortable for 'budget crap'

and me, only seen pics in the advert so far, can't wait to get them and put them on the car, just hoping they'll look as good as I think they will
Really need to locate the annoying rattle from behind my right ear too, it's driving me mental.

Washed, polished and waxed today, so I took it for a drive, bought an LED rear foglight bulb as the standard one showed pink and went to BP as it was nearly empty.
£48.70 later and I have a full tank of BP Ultimate....
...diesel
What a retard.
3 hours later I'm home, the AA took 2 hours 20 mins to recover me and can't do anything til the morning, when they're charging me £189.90 to drain the tank, dispose of the comtaminated fuel and put 5 litres of normal () unleaded in.
Whoops!
So, that's £48.70, £189.90 and whatever it costs me to fill it to the brim with super unleaded (which will be much much more than before as they'll drain the whole tank, which includes a massive reserve section)
I reckon that's the most expensive tank of fuel I've ever bought.
I'm blaming BP, the Ultimate unleaded and diesel nozzles are next to eachother and look identical, it doesn't help that the car is an import as the opening for the nozzle is larger, so the diesel pump fits straight in
Clearly not my fault
Hopefully it hasn't damaged anything, I literally drove away from the pump and it died, so I should be ok.
We'll see......

can't see how anyone manages this, it tells you what it is on the pump

I was saying the same earlier in the week.
In my defence, they were literally next to eachother (obviously I didn't notice at the time, I checked later)
Oh well, would have been worse if I'd put petrol in the BMW, that would have meant a new engine

I knew what car I was in, just got the wrong nozzle. No amount of warning buzzers, stickers or men with flags would have stopped me doing it

All sorted, that tank of fuel cost me about £300!
Went to a Pistonheads meet today to celebrate, was as many mx-5s as TVRs.
