5 central midfielders, you're like the midfield version of Hughes.

Giggs for sure. Can't think of a goalie, nobody sticks out as being proper solid in the nets ala Schmeichel.
Henrik Larsson on the bench.
Original Ronaldo up top.
Zidane in Midfield.

Thats as best as I can think of!

Something like this.

Buffon
Neville Ferdinand Terry Carlos
Beckham Gerrard Zidane Giggs
Henry v.Nistelrooy

Not too sure on keeper and left back.

Neville is not a worldclass RB, never has been and certainly never will be. Solid yes, worldclass no.

And no Messi?

Neville was a tough one, hes been a bit crap/average the past few seasons. Before that though hes been in the United and England teams consistantly. That and I couldn't think of another RB!

As you said about Torres, I don't think Messi has been about long enough. Henry and Donkey go back years and have proven track records for scoring goals.

Messi has been great for the last 4 seasons, so not too bad really.

As I can just about see why someone will argue has had a good season last year, but to be in one of the top 11 players of the decade

Hes exactly the type of player every team needs. He is a ball winner, and I personally believe the past three/four years he has established himself as one of the best players in the World at doing that.

Thats what hes saying though, if this was a past 2-3 seasons thread more people would select him. As this is last 10 years and Fletcher only being 25 and only recently becoming a first team player its a little premature including him.

He had a decent game against city, everyone's bumming him and trying to refer to him as something he's not, which is anything other than 'dependable'. If you can't see why saying he's one of the best (at anything!) in the last 10 years then you are deluded. Dirk kuyt covers more ground than anyone, tracks back, works for the team etc but he wouldn't be anywhere near this list for me (as a liverpool fan). Mascherano is better than anyone imo currently at breaking up play, again though he wouldn't be anywhere near my team yet.

Does fletcher feature in any 'team of the season' in the PL etc EVER? I think your navy blue tinted sunglasses are severely impeding your view
