Sorry "S-Tronic" as Audi call it

Is DSG similar to my SMGII. I do like having the option of Auto, im a bit of a lazy bastard. Its easier to drive & drink morning coffee with an auto as well......no gear changes to worry about, ken.

S-Tronic Sounds fancy.
Is it paddles or just a up/down stick?

It'll be similar. 2 clutches, can leave it in auto or change gear with the paddles on the back of the steering wheel.
Near instant gearchanges

Blacks hard to keep scratch free. White is a winner.
Dont worry after page 1 its all bitching about me wanting to change my car again!!

The pick up and power of the TTS wont dissapoint i comparison to the M3.
Try to get a drive of a 2.0 TFsi whilst your there. Its good to have experience of both and badge aside, draw your own conclusions.

Yeah its just the same, 5.2's & 155mph.
Why do you think the TFsi is worth considering over this?

Also doubt that, they've got a TTS convertible in & its been there a few months now.
You can go & have a look & stick a deposit on it when im away.
I wonder how much they would screw us if we asked to put both cars in against it!! Its in the dealers 'Stevie downstairs' works in. He might cut me a deal!!?

I would imagine if you've history and it's a defect not wear then you have a case.
And your money saving tips won't help. You'll be replacing two tax discs with one expensive one and two lots of depreciation with steeper losses on a car that cost more. I don't see the logic personally.
The only benefit is that the car is being used while you're not there which will make a nice welcome home gift when its got new dents and dings every time you see it again.

TTS will be higher tax surely with new laws when campared to his M3
Guy at work pays 463 a year tax for his new M3
If its over 225 on emissions which i am sure the 263 BHP engine is it will 300 a year for tax
i understand your point but i bet the m3s tax is as much as the tts, why not wait till jade can get insured on the m3 then just sell mini for house funds

thats really good emission - i thought they were higher than that for the 263 lump
edit- your quoted figures are for the 197 model mate although its only 191 for the 263 so should be the same

Possibly its just what parkers had listed for 2LTFSI S-tronic.
Seeing 191g/kg elsewhere.

I really like them, but i I ahd the TTS, i'd always be thinking how much better the TT RS is.
Donna wants an RS, but out of price range.
I saw a white convertable one go past me the other day, and although I thought the old ones were proper hairdresser cars, I could happily see myself piloting one of those 300+bhp white convertable jobbies. Shades on, sun out, pimpin it up

Hmm we would need to take a serious look at our finances to see if an RS would be do-able. Its another £10k.....which we dont have.
Id happilly take on some tickaroo on one but will need to see if theres funding to warrant it.
Would need to be a coupe though wouldnt it, im not convinced on convertibles!!

Dunno, she wants a convertable next I think. Something else to tick off the "do in life" box
Out of budget though, so very doubtfull. So expensive for optional upgrades as well.
