Also Jambo's headlight, the lights fine, the problem is a tiny bit of plastic which you cant buy or fit or modify in any way leaving you with no choice but to replace the whole thing.

Cars & modern manufacture are too complicated thats the problem!!

Dad's was sub 30k miles. It did do a few short journeys mind you every week.

The seal in the door frame that dropped down in the summer was bit of a piss take. You don't see everyone else's cars doing it. And because it has fancy sensors in it, BMW wanted something like £250 to replace.

We just glue gunned it back in and sold the car 8 months later

It probably broke due to some clumsy tit over-tightening it manually or something though. Threads don't just strip by themselves.

Anyway, thats me doing my bit for supporting cars/the car industry.

And has anyone noticed how many new BMW's, Audi's, Merc's and the like go round with blown headlight bulbs? It's ridiculous.

Headlights used to blow in old cars, then it got better up until about 2003, then it has started going downhill because everything is too advanced.

Again, bulbs made by another company. Xenon ballasts made by another company, also due to the fact that replacing a headlamp bulb is no longer a DIY job. A headlamp bulb on alot of modern cars isn't a quick/cheap job now.

No offence Dean, but you spout alot of rubbish.

Maybe so, but generally they use the best/biggest manufacturers out there. I think Audi use Bosch coil packs, Bosch are a fucking massive company that make allsorts but they are forever going fucked. I just think that its one of those things, electrical things will always break whether its part of your car or part of your washing machine. Just no-one apart from mum gives a shit when the washing machine breaks so long as my clothes are clean and put away again soon!

Man I'm fucking bored......

epic.

tbh, the only vehicle that has never caused dad mechanical problems is a Ford Transit which is used daily and does plenty of miles.

Hello there Deano87. Could I request that in future posts on corsasport you refrain from using the singular Verb of 'Dad' and instead, use it in the context of the above mentioned quotation 'My Dad' from there on out. Thankyou very much

Yours Sincerley

Jake

My old fella had his M3 for 2 years, paid around £45,000 for it nearly brand new.. Not one mechanical problem, just the Harmon Kardon sub kept going pop.
