this has been a fantastic race! i wanted to see it end with 9 points between jenson and rubens, purely to make it more interesting next race.
last year watching hamlton win the championship in the last half of the last lap of the season was fantastic

All that crap about Button not having a team till the last minute and Brawn being new comers has also been getting on my tits since the start of the season. Ross Brawn is not exactly some new boy in F1 is he

What a cracking race
First half hour was
Fair play to button for an epic drive. Took some risks with some good overtakes.
Deserves the title imo
Glad for Brawn too
Should still be a good show in abi dabi doo too
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

Honda pulled out and were looking for a buyer, i.e. not spending on the car for this season. So in the very short time between Brawn buying the team and the season an amazing car was developed with little money coming in from sponsorship.
IMO Id class that as new.

The car was ready before Xmas last year, my FIL works on the Autoclaves of Brawn GP (and what was Honda F1) as well as the claves at Mclaren, Red Bull, and Renault - he saw the cars ready last year. Plus JB's Tech confirmed that talking to the BBC after the race by saying they had the car ready prior to entering this season under Brawn.
The only major difference to the car between Honda pulling out and Brawn starting was sourcing a new Powerplant, ie the Merc Engines...

Even so, fitting a whole new type of engine in it, one they hadnt used before, in that short amount of time with that little testing and then making it the best car on the grid is an amazing achievement.
