Randomly inspired by this, I took a picture of my work stapler. They say there is no greater bond than that of between a man and his red stapler. I will have to take their word for it because I had to photoshop this one red
PP: Auto levels and colour, copied top part of stapler onto new layer, desaturated and coloured with Variations. Would have done bottom half if I could be bothered

Today's pic has to be the only thing I've really done today Spent at least 4 if not 5 hours getting it looking this good. Next thing is to drive it!

This hadn't quite turned out how I hoped, but it's something I've been wanting to do for ages so went for it while I had a chance.
PP: Auto levels and colour, lots of shadow/highlight tool.

File removed Dave
Works now, can see what you were trying to do. Keep fiddling with the settings and you'll get it

Fixed now The upload messed up so I had to re-do it.
Tbf I don't think the dials are ideal for this plus it was outside so no background light Had it on a 4 second exposure but maybe that's not enough. Will try again in the new car at some point

not that i have ever tried that shot properly, but try a slightly longer shutter speed and rev slowly then blip it could work a bit better

I can't do a longer shutter speed on this camera mate 4 seconds is the maximum.
I did however find out that starting to rev it just before it opened the shutter worked better than starting when the shutter opened.

After a trip to Sainsbury's tonight in the new car, I rested the camera on a sign and took this. Quite simple really Not bad for a 1 second exposure without a tripod!

Thought I'd go for a macro shot of some chocolate coins today. No particular reason
PP: Auto colour, auto levels, increased brightness, reduced blown-out area with shadow/highlight tool, increased saturation.

For today it's just a picture of the new camera Not taken any pics with it yet, partially because I only have a spare 1GB card to put in it But also because I want to go and get some proper good pics rather than just a random one of my room or something. I finish work early tomorrow so we'll see what the scenery is like then

My dad's well jealous He wants a D-SLR because he used to be into photography around my age and had a 35mm SLR, but has a Fuji bridge camera at the mo. I keep telling him to keep the Fuji because he won't get time to use the SLR properly and it will be in Auto all the time too
